To achieve the very best colour results while protecting the health of your hair and scalp, we kindly ask that you follow the guidance below before attending your appointment.

^{Please Don't Wash Your Hair}

For most colour services, particularly scalp bleaching and permanent colour applications, we recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours before your appointment.

Your scalp naturally produces oils (sebum) that create a protective barrier over the skin. These natural oils help reduce scalp sensitivity during colouring and lightening services, making your appointment more comfortable while helping to protect the scalp from irritation.

Please avoid using excessive dry shampoo or styling products during this time, as product build-up may affect your colour application.

^{Avoid Temporary Root Cover-Up Products}

To ensure we can accurately assess your natural regrowth and formulate the perfect colour, please do not use temporary root cover-up products before your appointment.

This includes:

• Root touch-up sprays
• Root cover-up powders
• Hair fibres
• Coloured waxes or creams
• Temporary colour mascaras
• Any product designed to disguise regrowth

These products can leave a coating on the hair and scalp, making it difficult for your stylist to assess your natural base colour and may affect the performance of professional colour products.

If you have already applied a temporary root cover-up product, please let your stylist know before your service begins. In some cases, we may need to cleanse the hair before applying colour to achieve the best possible result.

To reduce the risk of irritation before your appointment, we also recommend:

• Avoid scratching or vigorously brushing your scalp.
• Protect your scalp from sunburn.
• Avoid applying medicated scalp products unless advised by your healthcare professional.
• Inform your stylist of any recent changes to your health, medications, allergies or previous reactions to hair colour^.
